Airborne draws inspiration from mathematical sine wave equations, and uses parametric functions to generate individual steel frames to form organic shapes. The ridges of the installation reflect the velocity of air passing through a racing car, mirroring the reality onsite.
The installation uses 57 steel hollow section frames of varying heights to act as portals for people to merge in and out of the installation, creating a playful experience between festival-goers and the installation.
